Since launch, we’ve received a lot of questions regarding the business model and Brizy Pro and decided to share more about our plans for this amazing visual page builder for WordPress.
In this article I’ll try to answer the following (use the links below to jump to any specific section):
What is Brizy Pro?
Brizy will employ a freemium business model and Brizy Pro is the premium part of this model. The idea is to give Brizy for free and only charge for additional pro features that will come included in Brizy Pro.
We think the free part of Brizy will be more than enough for the majority of users (maybe over 90%). We plan not to lock basic functionality, all the design elements will be there, including contact forms, pricing tables, and more.
We create the Pro with web agencies, developers and web designers in mind so the functionality included will cater primarily to these guys.
You can read more about the freemium business model here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemium
When will it be available?
We are already working on it. Some of the features are done and we are testing them (WordPress headers & footers), some we still work on (premium page designs).
We plan to release the Pro version in September 2018. We do not have a date set-in-stone yet, but we are hoping to launch it in the first part of the month.
(Edit on March 2019: The scope and release schedule have change. We’ve decided to release the PRO in stages. Check out more about all the features available in Brizy PRO in this article.)
It’s not only a matter of putting the pro features together (although this is what will take most of the time) but also setting up the licenses system, partners & affiliate program, promo pages on our website and so on.
What will be included in Brizy Pro?
When Pro will launch it will contain the following (more to be added later on):
– Premium page designs, we plan to have over 150 pages at the get go. These pages will help you create premium WordPress websites for clients in no time.
– WordPress Headers & Footers. You’ll have full control over your WordPress header and footer. We are testing them right now … wow, FREAKING AMAZING. Can’t wait to show it to you.
– Form Integrations like Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, etc.
– WooCommerce Elements. More options to showcase your WooCommerce products in the best way. (Later Edit: We’ve decided to move these in the Free version, read more about it in this article)
How much will it cost?
We are still discussing this part and I don’t have exact numbers for you, but expect the pricing to be aligned with the current market values (the price of a good premium WordPress theme.)
As for the licenses we’ll have different packages for 1 and unlimited websites, with support & updates included for 1 year with the possibility to extend them.
Let’s say you buy 1 Pro license for 1 website, and choose not to extend your updates and support beyond the 1st year. Your website will continue to work, but you’ll not be able to use Pro features from that point on and of course you will not get Pro updates & support anymore.
Future plans for Brizy Pro?
The vision for the future is to let you edit everything directly in the builder: single posts, category, archive pages,, search, with the same ease and usability Brizy is known for.
More on this in the coming months.
