Here we go, the first Brizy Pro preview build is here. If you are not up to date on how we will approach the Pro’s launch, you can find everything about it in this blog article.
Let me run you through what we’ve added in 1.0.25. You can use the links below to jump to a certain section down the page:
This is a long time coming, you can now activate the image lightbox for any image you want to be viewed larger (in a lightbox).
The option can be found under Link on any Image and it comes turned OFF by default .
Turn the Lightbox option ON and you’ll get this nice view of the image on the front-end.
The lightbox feature will be extended in the future to work with the Video and image galleries.
We’ve added Templates in the admin. You can find them under Brizy in the WordPress admin on the left-hand side.
This is where you’ll be able to create different templates and apply display conditions on them. For example, you’ll be able to create a blog post template or a 404 template.
For now, this feature is not so useful, but this will prepare some things for the dynamic content to come and you’ll be able to also use it with the header & footer once we add them.
We’ve moved the WordPress featured image in the front-end.
There are 2 reasons for this, one is (of course) our vision to move as much as possible in the front-end and limit the back and forth between the admin and the Brizy editor.
And secondly (possibly more important) is that the WordPress Featured Image will benefit from the focus option we’ve implemented in Brizy.
Not much use for this right now, but there will be options that will utilise the featured image. The dynamic content that will come in the near future is one of them.
Find a full list of features, improvements, and fixes in the change log page.
We are preparing the 1st Pro update today that we plan to launch tomorrow (Aug 24, 2018). The 1st Pro feature will be the Role Manager. Here is a full list of updates we plan for the Pro in the next months: https://brizy.io/blog/brizy-pro-launch/.
Thanks for all your support and patience. Stay tuned as we will bring Brizy up to speed with all the features and ideas you suggested on the public Github repository.
