The New Brizy Popup Builder

Starting today Brizy is not only the easiest and fastest way to create websites but the best way to create popups as well. The Brizy popup builder will let you create interactive popups that are beautiful, engaging and easy to set-up. You can design popups in any shape or form, with all the tools you know and love from Brizy.

All this with no design or coding skill required. It doesn’t get easier than this.

I’m super excited to walk you through all the features we’ve added today from the new on click popup to the global popup that will automatically display based on triggers and display conditions.

In this article you’ll find:

The new popup builder

Say goodbye to the current Brizy popup builder because we went to the drawing board and improved the popup builder tenfold. All the options & features were carefully analyzed, some were improved, some were scrapped, some new ones were added.

The new Brizy popup builder is layered on top of the page builder, and it integrates perfectly with all the options and features Brizy has. You’ll be using the same tools you are used to in Brizy: add elements, drag and drop, control colors, fonts, and so on.

Once you add a popup, be it in the page on a link or a global popup with triggers you’ll be greeted by this window that will let you select from a pre-made popup to start from or build one from scratch

The functionality for Saved and Global blocks apply to Popups as well so if you have a popup that you like and want to use it later, you can save it or make it global.

Saved & Global popups

When you create a popup, this is the popup (the entire block), not only what is shown in the middle here that is why the general options for alignment, colors, close button, and others will be found at the block level.

Triggers & Display Conditions

There are two ways of adding popups on your website: on any page on links and your visitors will activate these when they click on the link. The second way is with display conditions together with triggers, the popups will display automatically based on the conditions set.

The popups that appear based on triggers and display conditions are created from the WP Admin > Brizy > Popups

You’ll notice that the builder you are loading is the popup builder directly. The UI adapts to the options and features that make sense to be (or not be) there. Reorder blocks are gone for example, and you’ll start building your popup not your page.

When you start building your popup, we automatically render the page you set as a Homepage in the background to give some context on how the popup might look on your website.

A new Display Conditions option will appear that will let you start settings Triggers and Display Conditions.

Triggers let you control what conditions will trigger the popup to be displayed (on the pages that meet the criteria set on the display conditions tab).

Triggers

Display conditions let you decide on what pages of your website the popup will be displayed (when the triggers are met).

What’s coming next

We are working to bring Form 2.0 in Brizy. The new contact form will contain all the fields you need to create complex contact forms: dates, radioboxes, checkboxes, hidden fields, upload file and more.

The new contact form will come with reCAPTCHA as well as more options for integrations like Gmail and the ability to set your email server via SMTP.

Conclusions

This is just the beginning, more cool features are coming to Brizy in the following weeks. Please add any suggestions/issues you have on GitHub. Also, consider joining our Facebook community where we discuss all things Brizy every day.

Until next time.
