We’ve just added a new Brizy image gallery element in the Pro. This is yet another feature that is a long time coming and we think it will help you add basic image galleries on your pages.
More about on how we plan to launch the Pro plus a list of all the features we’ll add in the coming weeks/months can be found in this article.
Here is what you’ll find in this article. Use the links below to jump to a specific section:
Download & Install
Brizy Pro can’t be accessed directly from your WordPress admin. The Pro is an actual extension of the Brizy Free plugin so need to download the Pro plugin from your Brizy.io account and manually install it in your WordPress.
Step 1. Login into your Brizy.io account and download the Brizy Pro plugin .zip
Step 2. Login into your WordPress admin and manually install & activate Brizy Pro from Plugins > Add New (Upload the entire zip you downloaded from your Brizy account, don’t unzip it.)
Important: The Pro will only work if you have Brizy Free installed & activated.
You will already have the 0.0.2. installed, you’ll need to download & install the Pro again from your Brizy.io account on every update we make.
Don’t worry, we are working on the update part. You’ll be able to do it directly from your WordPress admin once we officially launch the Pro.
The Brizy Image Gallery
Once you have the Brizy Pro 0.0.3 installed you’ll be able to see a new element in the left-hand side sidebar once you edit a page with Brizy.
After you add it on the page you’ll be able to decide the number of columns for your Brizy image gallery from here
You add a new image to the gallery by duplicating an existing one and replace the existing image with a new one.
Your very own masonry
Sure you can change the focal point and zoom on each image individually, but what we think is even cooler is that you can control each height, so that lets you manually create a masonry gallery exactly the way you want.
The width of the images are set by the number of columns you choose to have, but the height is up to you for each individual image. This way you have full control over your masonry gallery.
Conclusions
This is just the beginning, more cool features are coming to Brizy in the following weeks. Please add any suggestions/issues you have on GitHub. Also, consider joining our Facebook community where we discuss all things Brizy every day.
Until next time.
