We’ve just added the Posts Element in Brizy Pro 0.0.8. This will let you create dynamic blog post listings and if you factor in the ACF, Toolset, and Pods dynamic content you are bound to create some creative post archives pages.
This is the 8th Brizy Pro preview build. More about on how we plan to launch the Pro plus a list of all the features we’ll add in the coming weeks/months can be found in this article.
Here is what you’ll find in this article. Use the links below to jump to a specific section:
Download & Install
Brizy Pro can’t be accessed directly from your WordPress admin. The Pro is an actual extension of the Brizy Free plugin so need to download the Pro plugin from your Brizy.io account and manually install it in your WordPress.
Step 1. Login into your Brizy.io account and download the Brizy Pro plugin .zip
Step 2. Login into your WordPress admin and manually install & activate Brizy Pro from Plugins > Add New (Upload the entire zip you downloaded from your Brizy account, don’t unzip it.)
Important: The Pro will only work if you have Brizy Free installed & activated.
You will already have the 0.0.7. installed, you’ll need to download & install the Pro again from your Brizy.io account on every update we make.
Don’t worry, we are working on the update part. You’ll be able to do it directly from your WordPress admin once we officially launch the Pro.
The Posts Element
The block shape dividers let you create very interesting transitions between your sections on the page and thus enable you to bring to life some creative designs for your clients.
How to add a posts element
Step 1. Open the left sidebar and find the Posts element down among the other WordPress elements like Sidebar or Menu.
Step 2. Drag it to the page
Step 3. Select a Taxonomy you want to dynamically bring in this element. If you don’t know what taxonomies are, here is a short explanation.
Step 4. Build your posts listing by setting up the dynamic content for images, text, and links. We’ve added WordPress dynamic content a couple of weeks back. Here is a refresh course.
The posts element options
Like any other element in Brizy, the Posts element comes with its own options that will let you:
– Design your posts all at once. You can add anything you want using the tools you usually use.
– Change the number of columns and rows.
– Play with the Spacing.
Can’t wait to see what you guys think of the posts element we just added in Brizy Pro 0.0.8.
This is just the beginning, more cool features are coming to Brizy in the following weeks. Please add any suggestions/issues you have on GitHub. Also, consider joining our Facebook community where we discuss all things Brizy every day.
Until next time.
