We’ve just added responsive tablet control in Brizy. A long time coming feature that will let you create a truly responsive website by controlling how your Brizy website will look on mobiles as well as tablets.
Here is what you’ll find in this article. Use the links below to jump to a specific section:
How to switch to Tablet view
The responsive tablet control was added in the left sidebar under the Responsive options, right above the Mobile option. Here is an animated gif to help you locate the Tablet option.
The tablet & mobile breakpoints are set in stone for now. We are woking to let you control those values and decide when the tablet and mobile previews will kick in on the front end.
Some things to keep in mind
Here are some main points to keep in mind about the tablet options (these apply for the mobile editor as well):
– You create in Desktop view: you create your website in Desktop view and all the options, structure, design, fonts, colors are passed to the Tablet view. Only part of these options can be controlled on Tablet.
– What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas: Anything you modify in the Tablet view stays in Tablet view (except the text content). If you play with paddings or margins, change a background image or want to fiddle with the size of an image, all these changes are applied only in the Tablet view.
– Global fonts: Control global fonts for the Tablet view from the Styling panel on the left sidebar.
This is just the beginning, more cool features are coming to Brizy in the following weeks. Please add any suggestions/issues you have on GitHub. Also, consider joining our Facebook community where we discuss all things Brizy every day.
