We’ve added right click functionality in Brizy. With this feature we’ve set the basis for yet another great feature that will provide a lot of quality of life options.
Here is what you’ll find in this article. Use the links below to jump to a specific section:
The Right Click
The main idea behind the right click functionality in Brizy is to provide a context menu that appears when you right click your mouse, and have access to a couple of options that will basically let you be more efficient and do things faster.
What is interesting about the Brizy’s right click menu is that it lets you access Column and Row options at the element level, and displays those options dynamically based on the structure you have in the builder.
1. The Element is placed directly in a Block (no Columns, no Rows)
The right click context menu will only display the options for that element.
2. The Element is placed in a Column (no Rows)
Besides the options for the element, the context menu is populated with the options for the column the element is in.
3. The Element is placed in a Column that is in a Row
When the Column that contains the element is in a Row, the right click menu adds the Row’s options as well.
The bases for right click functionality was added with options like Duplicate and Delete for elements and Add New Column for columns. We plan to add Copy/Paste style in the future plus extend the right click for Block as well.
