Here we go, the first Brizy Pro preview build is here. If you are not up to date on how we will approach the Pro’s launch, you can find everything about it in this blog article.
Besides a quick explanation on how the Role Manager works, I’d like to also go through a couple of things regarding the Pro version. Use the links below to jump to a specific section:
Download & Install
Brizy Pro can’t be accessed directly from your WordPress admin. The Pro is an actual extension of the Brizy Free plugin so need to download the Pro plugin from your Brizy.io account and manually install it in your WordPress.
Step 1. Login into your Brizy.io account and download the Brizy Pro plugin .zip
Step 2. Login into your WordPress admin and manually install & activate Brizy Pro from Plugins > Add New (Upload the entire zip you downloaded from your Brizy account, don’t unzip it.)
Important: The Pro will only work if you have Brizy Free installed & activated.
You will have to download & install the Pro again for future preview build releases.
We are working on the update part (directly from your WordPress admin) and will be available in the future once we have the licensing set up as well.
The Brizy Pro license
We are still working on the licensing system for Brizy Pro and this will come in a future update. For now, you don’t need to input any license in the backend as you’ll have full access to all the features we’ll add into Pro as part of your Lifetime Deal purchase.
Once we flesh out the Pro a bit more and transition the business model (from the Lifetime Deal) to a yearly recurring model, we’ll also introduce the licensing system as well.
At that point, you’ll need to login into your Brizy account and copy paste the license code into your WordPress admin. We’ll keep you in the loop about this important feature, so have no worries you’ll not be able to miss it.
The Lifetime deal
I just want to reiterate, we plan to keep the Brizy Pro Lifetime Deal going a bit longer until we transition into a yearly recurring business model. Once we make that transition the Lifetime deal will be gone and all the licenses will be paid yearly.
The 30 days refund policy
The 30 days money back guaranteed will start counting once we remove the Lifetime deal from our website and we transition on the regular yearly recurring licensing system. See the Lifetime deal section for more details.
The Role Manager
This is the 1st Pro feature from our release plan. What this feature does is limit the access of the Brizy editor for certain user types. Very useful when you create websites for clients, especially when the clients have access and need/want to change the content.
The Role Manager will limit the access to certain features like drag & drop, adding new elements and removing anything from the page.
Find the Role Manager’s settings in Brizy > Role Manager
No Access – the user will not be able to use Brizy to edit pages
Full Access – the user has full access to all the Brizy tools to edit pages
Limited Access – the user has limited access to Brizy’s features. He can input content only and will not be able to break or mess-up the page structure.
I guess this is it, the 1st Pro feature is out. Stay tuned as we prepare the Popup builder for next week. You’ll love it 🙂
This is just the beginning, more cool features are coming to Brizy in the following weeks. Please add any suggestions/issues you have on GitHub. Also, consider joining our Facebook community where we discuss all things Brizy every day.
Until next time.
